What I Learned Through Loss: An Interview with Maddy Rhodes
Today’s episode is an interview with Maddy Rhodes, who is one of our podcast hosts of The After Dinner Mint. Maddy shared what she learned from her experience of loss, doubt and despair after a molar pregnancy.
Maddy is married to Robbie. They have a three-year-old son, a very sooky dog and a new baby on the way. She loves to read, run, drink coffee, and generally spend time with her family and friends. Maddy understands herself as a sinner in need of grace, and feels continually blessed to know the Lord Jesus as she wrestles with the task of endeavouring to rely not on herself, but on him.

Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy by Mark Vroegop
When the Noise Won’t Stop by Paul Grimmond
You can find Joseph’s story in Genesis 37-50 in the Bible. The verse we reference is, “But Joseph said to them, ‘Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.’” Genesis 50:19-20 (ESV)
Maddy nominated Sarah Michaels as someone who has encouraged her and would love to hear from next 🫶🏻
PS. I did my best to cut out the background child noise, but there’s still some in the background. I’m never going to record while my kids are awake again! We live and learn 😆🙈
