  • Rebecca Marie

    FOUNDER/WRITER/PODCAST HOST

    Rebecca is married to Zac and they have three boys. She became a Christian at 18 years old after someone read the gospel of Luke with her. She spends her days teaching women the Bible, coordinating an evangelistic Playgroup, and writing. She is a regular contributor to Part Time Poets and The Gospel Coalition Australia.   • Amy Stopher

    WRITER

    Amy grew up by the beach, the third of four sisters, and first learned the gospel from her parents. She taught high school students Politics and English, before studying Theology at Trinity Theological College in Perth, WA. Now Amy serves on the ministry team at Providence City, and delights in seeing women grow in their confidence to teach God’s word. Amy loves gardening, cooking for people and eating with them, and early mornings at the beach. She lives with her dog, Billie. She processes her thoughts on ministry, food, and gardening on Substack.

  • Tenielle Neda

    Tenielle Neda is a train driver & singer-songwriter from remote Western Australia. She is married to a NZ born camera-man & teacher, Daniel, and they have three precious, young children. Tenielle has studied at Trinity Theological College in Perth, and hopes to continue her theological studies, amidst busy mum life and music creation. She finds that studying God's word - knowing him and loving him more - deeply inspires and informs her songwriting.     Jill grew up in Albany, studied in Perth & Sydney but now lives with some friends and a baby tortoise (Turbo) in the Middle East. She helps lead a team doing community health programs and works as a GP with Syrian refugees. Learning Arabic was the hardest thing she’s undertaken. In her work she’s passionate about seeing the unseen people and helping Arab teenage boys learn emotional literacy and their God given identity. She enjoys textures, colours, photography and laughing at ridiculous ideas.

  • Khaiah Thomson

    WRITER

    West Australian Author Khaiah Thomson pens the Blackwood series. The first book Welcome to Blackwood won the Hawkeye Publishing Manuscript Development Prize in 2020. Khaiah first decided to write young adult fiction novels as a way to exercise her brain while on maternity leave. She wanted to create a magical escape for young readers, all the while gently weaving in themes of God’s love through the timeless battles of good versus evil, unconditional love and the power of redemption.

    Khaiah lives in Perth with her husband and two sons. When she isn't working or in her home office writing, Khaiah can usually be found nose-deep in a book, gaming or at the nearest cafe, hovering close to the coffee machine. Khaiah’s Welcome to Blackwood series can be found in all good bookstores and Hawkeye Books.

  • Mariah Hlatywayo

    WRITER

    Mariah Hlatywayo (lutch-why-oh) is a singer-songwriter and drummer from Perth, Western Australia. She grew up in a musical family and enjoys writing, singing and playing songs inspired by her  Christian faith and life experiences.   • Bethany Smith

    WRITER

    Bethany grew up on the South Coast of NSW, moved to Sydney for university, and met her husband, Matt, while studying at Moore Theological College. They moved to Perth in 2020 to share the gospel with university students at UWA. They’ve since had three children who she spends her days with, caring for and discipling in the Lord Jesus. Bethany enjoys reading, exercising, baking and attempting to keep her plants alive.

    WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER

    A gardener by morning, napper by afternoon and hostess by night, Pearl considers herself the luckiest girl in the world. She is a cacao enthusiast from the Perth Hills, who lives with a pet bird, a close sister and many trees. Pearl has travelled to unique places around the globe and across the country in her red van, which you can read about at Pen and Paper. For love, she makes music.     Sarah grew up in a non-Christian family in Albany, met some Christian friends in high school, then God became her Lord and Saviour while at University. She now lives with her husband and two boys, two dogs and a number of chooks on a farm near Tambellup in the Great Southern. She is a school officer by day, and enjoys writing fiction and performing in amateur theatre in her spare time.

    Rach Carter is a lifestyle photographer and a stay at home mum who lives with her husband and four (almost five) gorgeous children.  She has always treasured photos and the memories they bring back, and has found a real passion in capturing these moments for other families.     Britt is an accredited mental health social worker who lives with her husband and three children. She works in private practice in the hills and has a special interest in treatments for complex trauma. When she’s not working or wrangling small children, she’s taking in mindless celebrity info, thinking about what to eat next, and considering a return to running.

    Rach is a part time Emergency Clinical Nurse, full time wife and mum. She works in a metro emergency department and thrives on the adrenaline filled atmosphere of the critical care environment. On her days off, she’s ferrying her three kids to school and their various activities, listening to podcasts with one AirPod in, sending memes to her husband, and dreaming about what to cook for dinner.

    Maddy Rhodes is married to Robbie. They have a three-year-old son, a very sooky dog and a new baby on the way. She loves to read, run, drink coffee, and generally spend time with her family and friends. Maddy understands herself as a sinner in need of grace, and feels continually blessed to know the Lord Jesus as she wrestles with the task of endeavouring to rely not on herself, but on him.
