The Garden

Song by Tenielle Neda, watercolour by Kaye Redman

In my heart you planted a seed,

Save it  from the thorns and weeds.

Make it grow, make it grow.

May our love may abound more and more in the knowledge of our Saviour.

May our love abound more and more and grow into a garden,

where the roots run deep to the river of life,

and the branches reach high into in the sky,

where the birds, they rest and the fruit is sweet,

and the whole world can see its beauty.

In my heart you planted a song for you and your praise alone.

Make it grow, Make it grow.

‘The Garden’ is a prayer of deep dependence on Jesus based on Philippians 1:9-11. That He would tend what He has planted in us and make it grow. That our roots would run deep, our lives would become fruitful, beautiful and generous, and others might find rest beneath the branches. And that whatever beauty grows would point beyond itself to the One who planted the garden and brings the growth - to the praise of his glory and grace.

‘The Garden’ is the title track of Tenielle Neda’s upcoming album, which comes out October 2nd, 2026. You can pre-save it here.
