By Him

From laughing

To screaming and crying

Feeling confident and on top of it

To low and flat

I’ll just go sit back in my corner….

Wait!

I’m not made for that

Rash decision!

I feel so embarrassed

Waiting, self-control

Feeling good about what I’m making

To simply not liking

Questioning, wrestling

Doubting and fighting

I feel rather small but I’m called to stand tall

My heart is secure!

I feel bruised and confused

Beautiful connections made

Oh how I feel forgotten and afraid

These ever changing phases

Can be handled by only Him

This dysfunction and unravelling

Can only be nurtured in full by Him

And it’s in that vulnerable space

That what needs to be healed

Is gently and clearly revealed

With this reminding

That I so often need

My soul not merely survives

But it dances again
